
Internet video leader, Youtube, which is owned by Google, accounted for 1/3 of all that traffic; more then doubling its market share from last year. Broadcast TV networks did not do nearly as well, with ABC leading the way and getting less then 1% of total video viewership. However, much of Youtube’s traffic is actually broadcast network content being illegally uploaded to Youtube, often within minutes of a shows broadcast.
The recent TV writers strike was mostly about Internet delivery of content and clearly people are turning to their computers to find video content in huge numbers.
