More iPhone for less money

iphone.jpgThe way be another cell phone price war brewing, but this time it isn’t monthly plans, but high end cell phones that may see prices plummet.  AT&T is preparing to give new customers a $200 subsidy on the upcoming 3G version of it’s wildly popular iPhone.  The iPhone, which has sold in droves at full price, has been retailing between $399 and $499 depending on the model.  Bringing down the price of the iPhone would open up a huge new market of prospective customers to AT&T Wireless who have balked at spending so much on a cell phone. The price move will also probably force other carriers to drop the prices of their high end phones like the LG Voyager from Verizon.
