As Verizon and AT&T spends billions of dollars bring fiber optic cable right to your door and cable companies across the country are spending billions more upgrading their fiber optic backbones, Japan has launched a satellite that promises to provide the fastest internet access in the world, without wires.   While cable and telephone companies offer internet speed topping out around 20 Mpbs in the US and Canada, the new Japanese satellite hopes to reach the currently unheard of speed of 1200 Mbps.  This new service will require a satellite dish.  Small home sized dishes will only reach speeds of 150+ Mpbs.  It will take a large 5 meter diameter dish to reach the maximum speeds.
