A discussion about the Telecommunication Industry

Do you stand in front of the microwave screaming, Hurry Up!  Do you scream hurry up at your computer when you are trying to download a huge file?  Well if you do and you live in Quebec, Canada then I have some good news for you.  Quebec’s cable company, Videotron Ltee, has announced it will be offering a 50 Mbps Internet connection.  This is so fast you would be able to download an entire movie in just 2 minutes.  Considering a dedicated T1 is only 1.5 Mbps, this is way more speed then most users will ever need, but it just shows that even today’s speedy broadband connections have room to grow.  Sorry, but there is not help for your microwave just yet, but perhaps you could download a cookbook while you’re waiting.
