There has been a lot of good news about DSL in the past few weeks, but now there is some bad news. AT&T has decided to raise the price of its three most popular DSL packages by $5 a month. AT&T is the largest DSL provider in the country.
The $5 increase goes into affect in March for subscribers with 786 Kbps, 1.5 Mbps, and 3 Mbps DSL connections. AT&T says the price increase is due to increased demand.
Sighting increased demand as the reason for the price hike is interesting because AT&T has also announced that disconnects for non-payment have been increasing recently.
