The winner was the Zyxel P-2302. I found the call quality to be almost as good as a regular land line. The voice quality connecting to my office PBX was as good as a traditional wired phone. Except for the Grandstream, all the adapters have quality of service (QoS) and network bandwidth management features that maintain call quality regardless of other internet traffic.
As for reliability, again the Zyxel P-2302 was the best of the group. After a month of continuous use I have not had to reboot the unit even once. Except for the Grandstream, all the adapters proved very reliable, but the Zyxel edged out the Dlink DVG-5102S as the most reliable. The Linksys PAP2 finished a close 3rd in reliability.
Overall, the Zyxel P-2302 nwas the winner hands down. The set up could be easier and the documentation needs a lot of work, but there tech support was first rate and in the end call quality and reliability put the Zyxel over the top. From past product experiences, I have come to expect excellent things from Zyxel and I wasn’t disappointed.
