Call quality was very good, but at times there was some echo and some voice delay. I would have to rate the Grandstream’s call quality as the lowest of the bunch. All the other adapters also included a one port built in switch and could act as a router/firewall or just as a 1 port switch in bridge mode. The Grandstream 386 did not. I also had to reboot the Grandstream far too often. Its reliability was the bar far the lowest of the group.
The other routers were all so difficult to set up that I rated them all a 1.
Call quality was very good to excellent all around. Even while downloading a large file and watching a streaming video call the SIP adapters maintained there high call quality. The Grandstream 386 was the loser of this round rating a 5. The other adapters all rated an 8 or better.
More tomorrow
