Overall, I would give the Panasonic KX-TG3031 an A-. I found the size, shape and weight of the handset to be excellent. The backlit display is bright and easy to read. The buttons are responsive and firm. The speakerphone was loud and clear. The overall feature set was all I could ask for and more. The sound quality and range were exceptional. The only complaints I could make is that the 5.8 Ghz model does not come with an answering machine. I also found the position of the flash/call waiting key to be a little odd. It’s all the way at the bottom of the phone, no where near where any of your fingers would be while holding the handset.
As for the unique colors, my wife commented that we finally have a phone that matches the couch. In the grand scheme of things, I guess a happy wife is the best feature of all.

In the end, that's really all that matters - matching upholstery and telephony. :)
