Panasonic’s Color line comes in 3 models, each with 12 colors. The models are a 5.8 GHz, a 2.4 GHz, and a 2.4 GHz with a built in answering machine. All 3 models can be expanded to up to 4 total handsets. The model Panasonic sent me to test was model KX-TG3031, a 2.4 GHz with answering machine in a very nice bold green.
I was a bit concerned at first. I’ve had 2.4 Ghz phones in the past that conflicted with my wireless network. So I placed the base station about 6 feet from my wireless router. This location has reduced other 2.4 Ghz phones to noisy, crackling paper weights. To my delight, the Panasonic phone was crystal clear. I was able to walk outside about 150 feet away from the base station before I had any noticeable loss of signal. The phone performed laudably through out my house as well, even on the 2nd floor with the base station in the basement.
