Version 2.01 adds many new features to the DSX system. Some of the most notable new features are:
- Dial up modem support
- Email integration
- Voice Mail Distribution Lists
- Voice Mail Broadcast Messaging
- Room Monitor
- Mailbox Announcement Message
- Park and Page
Version 2 also features a new customer administration program, Office Administrator. Office Administrator allows the end user to enter system and personal speed dials and to change extension and voice mail settings.
Notably missing from version 2.0 is support for caller id on call waiting. This is a substantial feature omission for a system that markets it’s DSX-40 model as a residential phone system.
